Do you need a car in Galatás?
We recommend a car when staying at Ariti Villa. Here is what to consider if you plan to rent one or prefer not to drive.

Why we recommend a car
The villa is inland from the coast, and your plans may include beach visits, groceries and evenings in Chania. Having your own transport gives you more choice over when to leave and return, especially with children or beach bags.

If you prefer not to drive
Plan your arrival and everyday journeys before booking. Ask us about the exact location, then check taxi arrangements or suitable bus routes with the operators. Do not assume a coastal bus stop is a convenient walk from the villa. Compare the cost and availability of your planned journeys with renting a car.
Renting for part of your stay
You could reserve a car for the days you want to explore, then arrange transport for the rest of your stay. Before choosing this option, check collection and return arrangements, the total rental cost and how you will manage groceries and airport journeys. A lower daily price does not always mean a lower overall cost.
Check the details before arrival
Confirm the rental terms, insurance, deposit and any child seats directly with the provider. Use the villa’s location page for directions, and send us your arrival plans if you have questions. We can help you understand the location before you decide how to get around.
