A base inland from the coast
Galatás is a village west of Chania. Ariti Villa sits inland from the coast, so a stay here works best when you are happy to travel to the beach and into town. It is worth checking the map before booking, especially if you prefer to walk everywhere.

Beach days and evenings in Chania
Kalamaki and Glaros are nearby options for a swim. On another day, head into Chania for a walk through the old town and along the Venetian harbour. Leave time to wander rather than trying to fit the coast, the city and a long excursion into one day.
Make room for time at the villa
A private pool and a kitchen make it easy to spend part of the day at home. You can plan a morning out, return for lunch and keep the afternoon free. If you are travelling with children, think about everyday journeys as well as the places you want to visit.
Before you book
We recommend a car for getting around and exploring further afield. If you would rather travel without one, ask us about the villa’s exact location and your plans before booking. That will help you decide whether Galatás is the right base for your holiday.
